The benefits of oil massage for body, facial skin and hair are plentiful. Oil massages have been an ancient and most trusted practice to maintain healthy being and beautiful skin. However, these days many forget to practice this on a regular basis. Body oils are rich with the supplements your skin needs as boosters to maintain skin health. There are many benefits that your skin receives from oil massages. Apart from restoring and maintaining beauty and youthfulness, body oils are also essential for skin health. Here is a simple body oil you can prepare at home and pamper your skin!

DIY Body Oil

We understand if you say the ‘B’ word for your forgetfulness. Everyone is ‘Busy’ in this fast pacing world. We offer very little time for beauty regimen. Especially from the fear of the big price tag they come with. There are many exclusive body oils that are available in the market. To best serve you, there are also oil massages for the body and hair available at spas and beauty salons. However, if you are cramped on the bills and time, you can always fall back confidently on home remedies to have beautiful skin. And these, come with a minimal budget and 0% harm!

You can prepare your own body oil at home to pamper your skin. All you need is a little quantity of the following oils.

  • Sesame Oil
  • Vitamin E Skin Oil
  • Almond Oil
  • Orange Essential Oil
Each of these above-mentioned oils has excellent potential to rejuvenate your skin, improve skin tone, complexion and to also keep it young and glowing always! It is easy to obtain these oils, they are allergy free (since they are completely natural) and are beneficial for skin health. However, if you do have a history of allergy with any of the above oils, it is best advised to add another skin oil as compensation.

Sesame Oil - This is a popular base oil in almost all ayurvedic beauty oils. Sesame Oil is loaded with fatty acids that are essential to maintaining healthy skin. The fatty acids build skin tissues, keep it plump and young. Sesame Oil is referred to as the ‘Queen of Oils’, not without reason.

Vitamin E Skin Oil - One of the important oils to maintain glowing skin is Vitamin E. It is rich in antioxidants which aid skin repair and cell rejuvenation. The antioxidants are also needed to keep dark spots and age spots at bay.

Almond Oil - This is also a good source of Vitamin E. Almond Oil works to keep skin smooth and soft. Your skin will glow with a shine and will turn smooth to touch.

Orange Essential Oil - A special ingredient to help to keep bacterial infections away, acne at bay and to also improve skin complexion. Orange Essential Oil will act to remove tan and improve skin complexion with its citrus extracts.

How to make DIY Body Oil

You can make this combination as and when you need it in order to prevent any sedimentation.
  • 1 tablespoon of Sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons of Vitamin E oil
  • 1 tablespoon of Almond oil
  • 7 to 8 drops of Orange essential oil
Mix all these oils together well in bottle. You can use this oil to massage skin or just as a body lotion post bath on slightly damp skin.
For oil massage, take a clean towel and soak it in warm water. Wring the extra water out and use the warm towel to steam face and body. Take few drops of the oil and rub over face and body. Massage gently and thoroughly. You will notice excellent results in skin texture and skin tone almost instantly.
