When ColourPop introduced their liquid highlighter, i knew i had to get it ASAP. Because i am loving liquid highlighters currently and have loved the Wetnwild Megaglo Hello Halo and Sigma Afterglow highlighters. These type of highlighters works great for dry skin and you can mix them with your foundation, face oils or use them in moisturizers. Yes, i have been using them in different ways. So lets talk about ColourPop Champagne Bubble Liquid Highlighter which have only one shade currently.
This highlighter comes in glass jar with white screw cap which have dropper attached to it. It is a great packaging and love the dropper which is easy to use and you can control the amount of product, you need. The texture is moderate being little runny. The shade is a medium gold with warm undertones which is not very shimmery or glittery and have subtle shine to it giving you naturally glowing skin.
This shade is perfect if you are looking for warm tone light golden highlighter. As it is little thinner, it spreads easily on skin and give you enough time to blend before drying. It doesn't clump or look cakey on dry skin. If you like your highlighter very intense, you might be little disappointed as it sheered out pretty easily. I, however liked it as it is more wearable and your can wear it every day and any time of day without being too loud. It works great mixing with foundation or you can apply it before any tinted moisturizer. It add a beautiful glow and gives you dewy look which is perfect in this dry weather.
The lasting power depends on the product you are using with it. At it's own, it is not very long lasting but with good foundation or setting powder it can last whole day. It is always good practice to apply your powder products after applying liquid products to avoid any cakiness. If you want it to look more intense, apply it with dabbing fingers only instead of spreading with any tool or fingers.
Overall, the shade is absolutely stunning with beautiful natural looking shimmer. It applies and spread easily and can be merged with foundation, primer or moisturizers. I would recommend it to any one who want a natural looking highlighter.
